Yanako RPGs - Projects RoadmapÂ
To help the community keep track of important dates on multiple projects, we decided to make a roadmap for everyone to reference~ Please keep in mind that the dates listed are rough estimates unless a specific day is mentioned, and roadmap items may move up or down on this list based on priority changes.
March - 2025
Yami Kids Announcement
Tosh and Yano have announced they'll be working on a new game, set to release in late 2025, which will be based on the Luna engine (previously known as MonMae).
Nuumonsters Remake Begins
Nuumonsters is being completely remade with the Luna platform to improve the game. This remake will be available as a free update with the current Nuumonsters version available on Steam, and will release out of early access at this time.Â
MonMae transition to Luna begins
MonMae will officially be rebranded to "Luna", a name that screams out "the sky is the limit!" as we start testing new battle system additions to the MonMae system this month.
Following the addition and polish of these battle systems, we would also start getting new versions of "Luna" ready, including cheaper alternative options, as well as a Steam version.
April - 2025
Final content update for Dokimon on Steam
Dokimon: Quest will be receiving it's final content update, including accessories for the players character, and a decorate-able home(s).
Decorative items will be earned from battling at the battle tower, south of Xelos City.
First release of Luna builds to itch
Luna will be getting it's initial release to itch, the first update separating it from MonMae. This new version of the engine will offer an updated look, and start Luna on the path to offering creators the option to build more than just monster tamer games.
Current plans include final fantasy likes, zelda-likes, and further engine customization.

Luna documentation and written tutorials
Along with the transition from MonMae to Luna, we will also start working on proper documentation for Luna which will be hosted directly on this website.
This documentation will give extensive details on the arrange of uses and functions of the engine's scripts, how to build your game using Luna, how to keep your game simple yet original (for beginners), and how to get complex for those that want to go big with Luna.
Luna updates, additions, and announcements
At this point, we should have Luna builds out and polished on itch. From here, we'll be focusing on a Steam release of Luna while addressing issues and requests for the engine.
The majority of February and March will be focused on the Luna environment and expanding it's library of assets, improving the workflow, and adding new features.
*New* Luna tutorial series on YouTube
Due to the drastic changes that the Luna / MonMae enviroment have gone through, many of our tutorials have gotten out of date. Additionally, we had to stop making them as some of them got outdated rather quickly.
With the release of Luna, we'll have stable ground to stand on and begin re-creating tutorial videos for Luna that will stay relevant through all current and future Luna builds.
June - 2025
Yami Kids Kickstarter
Yami Kids is doing a Kickstarter to help garner funds, specifically for marketing needs. This Kickstarter is set to run in June or July, and the game to release later this year in 2025. We estimate the game will be 80-90% finished by the time the Kickstarter campaign is over.
What's next?
Possible announcement for new projects?
Wow! Your glasses must be pretty good if you can see THIS far into the future!
Unfortunately, that's not the case with us. However, by April we do believe to have all of Dokimon, Luna, and Nuumonsters in great standing. As we move into April we'll likely start moving on to new projects, though we think it's likely that Luna will continue to get updates.
There's no idea what the future could hold! I wonder what kind of new art we'll see in Luna. Perhaps there will be new game projects? Or sequels?
Fortunately, we have lots of great plans and ideas tucked away in our treasure chest of knowledge (no peeking).
To stay updated on what's new with Yano and the team, check out the "Contact" tab and give us a follow on the SNS platform of your choice. Additionally, there's a comfy little selection of socials on our itch page with cute little buttons you should check out.
That's all for now, cheers!
